In the summer of 2019, Chabad opened it's doors in Winchester Virginia with a vision to reach every Jew with love, and help build a Jewish community in the area and a home away from home for the Jewish students at Shenandoah University.
In just a few short years, we have seen that vision come to life. A beautiful and caring Jewish community has begun to bloom and blossom. A place where everyone is welcomed with warmth and kindness, and valued as an integral part of the community.
However, our growing community needs a home of its own, a space where it can continue to thrive - for today and the future.
We are thrilled to announce that we are under contract to purchase a close to 3,000 SF building that will serve as a Center for Jewish Life and a permanent home for Winchester's growing Jewish community!
The purchase price is $650,000
We need to raise $180,000 before closing on February 21st.
You can help make this a reality.
Let’s invest together in our Jewish future!
There will be a DEDICATION WALL in the new center that will prominently display the names of all those that have donated $3600 and above.
Checks can be mailed to: 5 Montague Ave Winchester VA 22601
